Turbolink versus Turbometer

I just downloaded and built the cable for Turbometer. Is there a huge quality difference between Turbolink and Turbometer? If they both connect through the ADLD, then I assume they run at roughly the same slow speed.

When I spent $15 for parts and built my own, is it really worth buying Turbolink for $300??? What's the difference between the two?
