SignUp Now!It pushed up enough to to the snap ring out. Now it is in with no spring to it. My magnet is way to week to pull it down.Did the valve drop down at all? Did you try pushing on it and releasing it quick? It is spring loaded.
I may have to drill a hole in the end and pull it out with a screw. It pushed up enough to to the snap ring out. Now it is in with no spring to it. My magnet is way to week to pull it down.
how much fluid?worst case, assuming no burrs and its just sticky, you can put the filter+pan back on, throw some fluid in it and start the engine for a moment. It will blow the valve into the pan for you.
(this is also what happens if you don't get the snap ring in the groove correctly when reinstalling it, which is how I know about it......)

thanksIt might do it with no fluid, as there is probably some fluid still left in the pump.
But if it were my car I'd throw 3 quarts in.

let it run for about 5 minutes, and put in all the gears, still there. I don't see or feel any burr's.worst case, assuming no burrs and its just sticky, you can put the filter+pan back on, throw some fluid in it and start the engine for a moment. It will blow the valve into the pan for you.
