TV cable does not click when moving to WOT

Hello,

I tried adjusting the TV cable and thought it worked. I took it out for a short drive and it runs up to about 3300 hundred rpms and it will shift from 1st to 2nd. Tried to adjust again and with the cable pulled all the way back, I noticed the cable does not click at all with WOT. I tried manually adjusting it and it does not seem to make any difference with the shifting. I tried pushing the cable all the way forward and it made no difference. Before I made the first adjustment it shifted fairly normal.

Could it be a bad cable or worse

Im no expert, but sounds like the cable is stretched if it does not click when you adjust to WOT.

The cable could be broke. Does it pull out hard or does if move freely the full travel?

I checked for binding, it does have free movement.

Try spraying a little WD40 or similar lube on the plastic parts where they slide. You don't have to get crazy with it.

The last 1/2 inch or so it should pull pretty hard, as you are compressing the plunger spring.
