TV Cable

Hi there, I am going to be putting 2004r's into my early Nova's, one is a 6cyl and one a V8! What kind of TV cable will hook up to the stock 1 barrel carb on the 6cyl ? I thought I there was a universal type is this true? The V8 will have a edlebrock 1405 so that shouldn't be a prob with the brackets as bowtie overdrive has them but there kinda pricey. Any ideas or suggestions?
