TV problem?

Just finished new engine and trans installation. Trans won't come out of 1st gear. I'm not a trans guy, but, TV cable feels too tight. It's not loose at all. TV cable is OK. Poss. a valve body issue? Thanks, Dave

If you think the cable is too tight, just push the gas pedal to the floor (engine not running of course) and the cable should self adjust.

Get this, After a high dollar rebuild, the governor weight spring was missing in action!!!!WTF!
