Howdy,

I'm building a twin turbo 4.1L Buick V6 and will be running a pair of .60/.63 A/R turbos off of early 80's Ford manual transmission 2.3L I4's. I want to run 24-30 psi off of them, how do I control them I can make that amount of booste? Do I need external Deltagates or can I make the stock internal wastegates work? Also are these turbos going to be big enough to supply the booste level I want?

Thanks,

You can use the integral gates no problem. You might be able to get 30 psig boost out of those turbos, but you are going to have to push them hard.

Howdy,

So what kind of booste can you make off of stock GN turbos? I don't want to go too big because since I'm running twins, I've got only about 2.1L pushing a single turbo so lag could get rediculous in a hurry. I'm planning to help the turbos out as much as I can with ported heads, tuliped valves, and a nice free flowing exhaust. Would there be a better choice for something thats going to see street time so I don't want to have to run a 3000 stall to get them to spool? I'm also trying to stick to stuff that was OEM so its easy and cheap to find.

Thanks,

Howdy,

No offense to the board but why am I having such a hard time getting help with this problem, should I repost it on the general tech board?

Thanks,
