Here a two things I have been curious about. I have checked all three turbobuick sites and am still in the dark.

1. How do you arm the factory alarm? I know I have it because I accidently set it off ONCE. It went off and I was surprised, because I didn't know my GN had it. So how do you arm it.

2. Is there a child safety lock on the passenger side door? If so, how do you set it and unset it? I cannot open my passenger side door from the inside. I can hear the linkage moving, but it won't unlock. The only way I can open that door is if I use the key to unlock it. It sure seems like a child safety lock.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Not sure about the alarm, but I don't think there are child safety locks on these cars, seems like you must have a different problem:(

Alarm & Passenger door

I sent you a Private message on the alarm and your passenger door doesn't have child restraint, pry either linkage came off or something broke.

Steve:)

I was always under the assumption that the alarm armed itself when the power locks were set?

To arm the factory alarm:

First be sure that your car has the "Security" light working.

Open your Driver side door to get out, and before you close the door behind you Lock the door using the power door lock switch. The "Security" light should go from Flashing to a solid state of illumination...Then close the door.

The Alarm is set.

To enter the car again you must use the key to open the driver side door, NOTHING ELSE will stop the alarm.

Hope this helps you!
