I'm doing the type II conversion to a 84, & with the spark towers being side by side, does anyone know the firing order? Like left to right, looking down on the engine from the front? Also, how important is it to ground the bracket?

conversion

Come on guys!

Coil A 1-4 Coil B 6-3 coil C 5-2 " Or "

Coil A 1-4 Coil B 6- 3 Coil C 2-5 " Or "
Coil A 1-4 Coil B 5-2 Coil C 6-3

Thank for the reply Fast Eddie. But if you look at the second post, The spark towers are both closest to the engine and side by side, not front to back. Also, I've done searches everywhere I could and have come up three different firing order combos. This is a 84 that i;ve already converted the computer. I've bought all new A/C Delco parts & adapter, and I'm replacing the resistance wire. Doing the slice and dice. Hope you see the problem I'm trying to solve.

starting from pass side coil # 1 <4-1> coil #2<2-5> coil#3<6-3>

also www.gnttype.org has all this info;)

If you read my post coil on the pass side starts with # 4 and then 1,2,5,6,3 in that order

Changed, both, ECM & other stuff associated with it, then did the coils with wrecking yard harness, runs great. Added new wires & plugs, runs even better. Not hard to do, used all imformation from the message board. ;)
