How much could I expect to gain going to a new, properly matched "9-11" converter vs a 2600-2800 restalled D5 converter with the combo listed in my sig?

My intercooler is in less than steller shape and I have been thinking about getting either a pte front mount or a new torque conveter. My car has gone 12.2XX with a 1.8 60' time @ 114mph. I really think that it has much more in it. Where do you think the money would be better spent?

You'll likely see *some* gain, I went from 13.38 -> 12.17 with just a converter swap! My vig is prolly a little looser than most would spec for my combo (3400, #6 pump), but it drives better than the orange stripe that I previously had.

I see in your signature that you already have a stretch intercooler, so why do you want a front mount with your combo? The stretch is fine. Spend your money on something else. :)

My intercooler is dinged up, epoxyed in a few spots, and without a shroud:( however, this is the way it was when I got it and it does not leak:D I like the frontmount idea because the MJ intercooler becomes highly heat soaked in between runs.

What kind of differences would I notice if I went to a 9-11 converter from PTS Extreme? Would a "high quality" 3000 stall produce better results than a cheaper orange stripe 3000 stall converter?

Thanks for the input! Keep it comming;)

IMO you have more in the car with the current converter, if it is working OK. I ran the times in my signature with a completely stock converter. The TA-49/TE-44 work very well with the D5.
