Hey Gary!
Don't mean to change the subject but I finally got to drive an 09 Z06 today, Much more refined than the 04 i once owned. Really a nice car. Couldn't wring it out very much as I had a very nervous salesman with me. Didn't seem as quick as the Porsche two very different cars but in the hands of a good tuner it might be a different story.

Also, you just missed the deadline for missing the new 1% new tax increase, and if you wait until 05-01-2009, you will be paying double on the car registration.

]Reliable Chevrolet in MO. has an 08 new 3LZ for 63 K I have bought my last new car in CA.It's out of state from here on out. Dumb ass's are killing business's with that tax increase. Anyways I'm just entertaining myself & dreaming. Doesn't cost anything.

Yes, I am about of the same opinion regarding buying cars period. On the state sales tax increase, I think that as long as you register it in the state of Kali, you will still pay that 1% increase, and the same for the registration, unless we rent a house from Cruz57 in Arizona, I do not see an end to this dilemma.
I have had my eye on a couple of vettes, but this is just not a good time for me to drop any cash. Slower than the Porsche, huh?, you're just saying that cause you still own the Porsche.

I just sent Jeff some info on houses for sale in AZ, brand new, 3+2, 2100 sq ft, on 2.3 ac, 72K, yes $72,000 out of city limits, and Yes its desert living,
only draw back, its on a dirt road,
taxes are cheap, ins is cheap, car tags are $32 for 2 yrs on my GN.

The best suggestion I have heard is this state is too big & unmanageable. Split it in half & let the wackos tax them selves to death & live their politically correct silly lives.We need to succeed from northern CA. leftist's & let them do their own thing.

I agree how its unmanageable and you can't make everyone happy but i don't see how there raising everything from dmv fees to taxes etc and no jobs no money by time come there going to be hungry desperate people that us has citizens have deal with just to much sh!t going on here already. I don't know about you but i pretty much had it with California you just can't bet the weather. By the way Lou wanted to ask you if you can run my passenger header through your table belt sander like you did my driver side if you can recall.:biggrin: :biggrin:

Sort of like shorthand, except both of my hands are short. Good to hear from you,Ty. I can't wait to see my copy of Hemmings's. I haven't received my copy yed and it's not in the stores out here yet. Glad to hear that you are taking your family to BG. Family dedication is where our next generations values come form.

You have posted way too many "Grilling with Ty" threads for me not to know where to eat good in Kansas. Even handouts are probably better & corn fed in Toto land. Today I was working in a customers house, and when I pulled up, I saw a vette that said something "c16" on the plates.
It was a Callaway z06, and was the actual developmental car for the company! had carbon fiber wheels and all something like 620 hp. oh yeah, it was a 2007. Funny how small of a world it is though, I recognized him from Bobs Big Boy hangouts He has another z06, its an 02 for sale on Ebay. I checked it out, and it was like BRAND NEW! His asking price was very very reasonable for the car.

Yes I can but I have just been using a header gasket in place of that with better luck. All depends on how warped it is.
