Uncontrolled Boost

I recently picked up an 87T. I'm attempting to lower the boost with the adjustible actuator and I've backed it off as far as it would go and it continues to hit 20+psi. Any clue as to what the problem could be? Owner before me said he never had this problem, but he also ran 22psi, so once he had it set there, he never adjusted it.

are you seeing 20psi at wide open throttle, or part throttle?

if its at WOT then its probably a high boost actuator and its more or less suppose to be that high....

if its at part throttle you probably have rotted out or a loose waste gate solenoid hose....new set of hoses can be found thru GM still (i think) or other vendors....

it will do it at partial throttle. I'll check the hose.

vacuum line is new

figured it out.
street chip requires that the solenoid be hooked up.
