Today I got a call from a fellow board member that has not been on the board for quite a while. His name is Tim Baggett aka Carrddine. He's been out of the Buick scene for a while due to bad financial circumstances.

Anyway, we're in touch now and then to talk Buick stuff or what ever.

Today he called me and told me about the terrible situation he is in. He has recently been working in a local casino and getting his stuff in order. About a week ago he came home to discover that the apartment building he was living in had burned down. He basically lost everything.

Luckily, since he works for the casino, they gave him a break and let him stay there for the past week. Unfortunately, he had to board his 2 dogs at a local shelter. It's him, his wife, and two little girls. He had just paid his rent and the landlord won't give him back any of the money (any time soon) so, he's kind of stuck.

He's asked me if I could help him out and I'll do what I can but I figured that if any of you guys know or feel for his situation you might be interested in donating a few bucks (I'm sure anything would be appreciated). I'm also referring him to the local faith-based charities where they can provide food, clothes and possibly some funds as well.

Anyway, since this is a pretty tight-knit community, I figured I'd throw it out there. If any of you guys are interested I was thinking I'd just use my paypal account and then do a western union to him since I am no longer residing in the area. turbo39151@hotmail.com

TIA

Here's a pic so you'll know who I speak of. Taken at the Bates show in 2006 where his Grey T Type took 1st place in modded T.

Man that sucks for him and his family. Unfortunatley when he had ask for my help before, he ended up burning me for hundreds of dollars. Hopefully others here had better memories of him and have some extra funds to send your way. For now we have finicial issues of our own that prevent us from giving him any more help. Hopefully his wife and kids can get through this. You are a good man Luis!

Hey Vic,

I understand your situation and that of everyone else these days. And you know I'm not one to look for charity, but when I talked to Tim yesterday, he was on the verge of a breakdown. I, too am not in the position to do much since I've spent way too much to move...

Anyway, I thought I'd put out an appeal to those who may be fortunate and be able to give a little bit to help out that's all.
