unlocking the converter

I just converted back to l/u.
Brand new 9/11 converter, new switches, valve,solenoid,and new harness.
The converter will not unlock at the 3rd-4th shift, and it slams in to od. Do I have a bad pressure switch? If I touch the brake with my left foot, and un lock the converter it shifts in to od no problem.
What do i do???

How is your chip setup with regards to the TCC?

street chip locks converter at 47mph. but shouldn't the converter un-lock during the shift?

Whats happening is that the car is passing the MPH threshold for lock up bfore you go into od inturn you get that slam. The easiest way i have fixed that in the past is to have the chip LU raised to prevent this from happening

Also may be throttle-independant as well, usually it will unlock if you give it a certain throttle amount. Ihave mine set up to lock at 45 mph in 3rd/4th, works pretty well.. I was sick of having it locked up while im in breakneck traffic jams at 25 mph
