i'm having my tranny gone through right now, so i'll be getting a new converter, or having either my stock or orange stripe cleaned and probably restalled.

eventually i play on running something like a te-61 or bigger turbo, ported stock heads, and some kind of good ic.

usually i'm thinking something between a 3200 and 3400 stall would be about right.

BUT i'm also running nitrous to help spool up. its on a hobbs switch to shut off at 15# so even right not with my sock turbo and a very lazy orange stripe, it still spools instantly.

is there any advantage to going to a higher stall converter? i was looking at a pats 10", the price is right and i've heard good things about it. and i'd like to have faster spool on the street without having to open the bottle, but i'm not willing to spend $600 for that.

so any ideas?
