Just venting about the 86 gn........why did this car not come with a temp and oil pressure gauge? why did this car have terrible brake system? should of had non power brakes instead of the junk it came with.Should of had rear disc brakes...should of had full size spare considering it has a full size trunk??? terrible head liner...I am sure the 70 chevelle ss I used to have still has a good head liner.Tach and boost gauge is a joke. There is a dealer near me selling an 87 for 150K with 1600 km it has a cracked sterring ring on wheel.....mine has a good ring no cracks LOL

This is why we have and have had great vendors over the years.
For how special these cars were back in the day I can overlook things.
Anyway, they were a lot more high quality then the crap made today.

I dunno. My 1986 (in Nov of 1985) was $14,400 out the door (after negotiation). For that you get drum brakes, an experimental power brake system, Grandfathers gauges, ribbon tach (that was considered cool then BTW), and a jankey space saver spare.

Go look at the price of the 1986 Porsche 911 turbo then, or even the Corvette. I was happy to get what I got for $14k.

"Things that Buick should have got right the first time"....
Ya, like looking into the future and seeing there are a lot of folks expecting to triple the power and not have issues with design limitations.

It's certainly easy to sit here in 2025 and talk about what GM should have done in 84-87, but the bottom line is these cars were pretty damn advanced for their time. Buick put out a hell of a product for everyone before the changeover to the fwd pos platforms.

Besides, anything that you dont like is easily corrected today
