Ok went out to the track to play with this NX set up . Car was run on 28x11.50 MT ET slicks , which i belive kill the car off the line but any way Car was sprayed entire track 100 shot , using Lowtimming chip 19 deg 1st 18 deg other gears . Fuel was C 16 . The total boost was 22-23 with the spray . The other things my car has are in my sig . First pass was 12.28@109.44 w/ 1.76 60 ft. @2nd 13.55@109.24 w/2.45 I screwed up that one . 3rd pass 12.22@109.25 w/ 1.72 4th. 12.36@ 107.14 w/ 1.79 60 the last pass i jetted up to the 150 shot and the car ran out of the spray 12.71@106 1.76 60 . At this point i put in my Reds 100 chip with 26 deg timming and ran a 12.47@107.91 / 1.85 same boost about 22-23 . I did nine more passes with the Reds chip with 25-27psi boost the two best times were 12.03@110.81 w/1.69 and 12.01@110.89 w/1.69 the mphs were mostly 110-111. I put this down for anyone curious . I dont think the 28 tire is good on my car . My Car may be on the heavy side i dont know. Full weight fronts , The susp is set up for street not all out drag , The springs in front are 5660s with 36mm sway and ive got two amps in the trunk , power seat . The cell had 10 gallons of fuel the stock tank maybe 5 . Anyway next time ill try the 150 shot. I did 15 passes and drove home so thats good .
 
I must also mention on the Nos passes i didnt leave on boost maybe 5lbs at most on my best high timming passes i left @ at least 10 lbs . Plus being this is the first slick ive ever ran it took a few passes to figure them out . the car went 12.30s to 12.01 mostly so thats a plus .:p
 
No offense - but you only ran 111 w/150 shot and a TA49?

Something is wrong there - I run 111 with a stock turbo with alky.

What were the 1/8 mile times and speeds? Was the car pulling any timing?

I dindnt run the 150 shot only the 100 shot . the 1/8 mile was 7.76@88.04 mph on a 12.22 @109 pass on the 100 shot with the 18 deg chip . There should be alot more in the car Nitrous wise i just wanted to go easy to start . If guys were running the 125 shot on a stock chip(Has alot of timming no?) back in the day on pump gas . Im sure i can press it more . the best pass of the day was run on the high timming chip ( No NOS) the 1/8th was 7.6@89.6mph 12.01 @110.8mph The car went 12.30- 12.01 on ten passes out of 15 and 12.40-12.30 on the rest . The only reason i can think the mph is low is i was using MT 28 inch tall tires , that and stock valve springs which might not be helping . Plus i weigh 215 lbs and the car i think is on the heavy side . . P.S no offense taken ......................... Ok I want to kill you :p
 
Obviously there is alot of tuning to be done to the car if you ran better without nitrous than with. Did you lock your converter??? looking at your times, it doesn't look like you did since your mph is so low. I run 110-111mph on a stock turbo and no nitrous and usually about 105-107 without locking the converter (I always seem to forget to on the first couple runs of the night).

Guess I won't be looking fo a NOS kit anytime soon:eek:
 
Still - I think I would have tuned it down to the 12.0 and then hit the squeeze.

Don't worry your not the 1st on the list of people that wanted to kill me ;)

Take it back and hit it with 100 now and it should run 11.0 @ 12x.

No i DID NOT lock the convertor . Id rather not cause any problems with my tranny than gain 2-3 mph , I did it in the past and know it works but its not worth it to me to put that stress on the tranny . Guys the reason it ran faster w/o Nitrous and please bear with me is N20 22-23psi boost w 100 shot car on Low timming chip Comming off line with little to no boost car went 12.22@109 mph VS. 26 deg timming race chip with 25-27 psi boost Best run 12.01 @ 110.89 mph . Its two Entirely different combos . With the N20 i belive there is more to be had only i wanted to not go too crazy with it to start. Im sure with a 150 shot it would be fine with the 18deg chip i ran it with and good gas . Ill get back to everyone on this , i posted the Results to help anyone interested , i didnt claim they were stellular . Either you guys will be eating your hat so to say soon or ill be blowing a motor . Either way ill let ya know . Jeremy i see your idea take the 12.00 set up and run 100 shot , i dont think that would be a good idea at the momment 26deg timming 25+psi and 100shot may not be a safe bet you know but slowly ill tweak it up . At least some aditional N2o info is being gennerated , i figured id try it out to be a little different , that is one thing that drew me to the Turbo buicks to begin with is not having what everyone else has , if that were the case id buy a Camaro or a vette like every jackass in NY . :p
 
Galoush, I'd like to say that I think it's cool that you're trying something new out, especially in the face of the general opposition our community has to nitrous (at least on our cars). Best of luck with the tuning and please keep us posted on how it all goes. I'm sure you'll see some good results if you just keep tuning it like you are, being careful not to blow your motor up. Hope it works out well for you.

Thanks, worse case scenario , i can take it off to use on another EFI car . So to quote Billy Murey from Cadyshack " So i got that going for me " :p
