Ok pulled the front cover off to make sure my seal wasn't blocking the oil hole. The seal is ok, but I'm missing my friggin oil plugs that go behind the cam gear in the block!!! I was making 5 psi without them, lol, so I'm sure my HV oil pump is working correctly. Now for the question, where can you buy the plugs at? I noticed their are no threads in the block to screw them in??

plugs

Any auto parts store should have a freeze plug kit for your eng. The kit includes the 2 plugs. Were they left out upon rebuild or did they blow out? If they blew out, they are in the bottom of the pan. In that case, stick a strong magnet to the bottom of the pan and leave them there. When installing the new plugs--STAKE them with a small punch. Most people tap those holes 3/8 NPT and use a threaded pipe plug so that won/t happen. I saw your prior post and thought maybe one of the plugs was out, but really doubted it as I felt you would not have ANY oil pressure. Best of luck

Thanks, a bunch. I don't recall if they were in or not, I'm leaning towards not. I probably didn't make a big deal of it because they weren't threaded holes and thought they were suppose to be like that. If the engine wasn't already together I would tap them, but I'm to worried about shavings now that its together.

correct

You don/t want to tap them now. Also it takes a cut down plug to prevent blocking oil flow to the drivers side lifter galley.

Ok ran into a problem, I tried Autozone, Advance Auto Parts, and Oreilly Auto parts, all have told me the freeze plug kit for our vehicles isn't available to them. Didn't get a chance to call Napa before they closed. Advance did try to help me out they gave me 5/8 steel plugs, tried to drive one in but they seem to big and would not go in. Now I know what the problem is but having problem finding the part to fix it. To all those who replaced thiers what and where exactly did you get yours. I just want to get my car running, been sitting for like 3 months now. Thanks ahead of time.

hey try summit racing call them and ask them i got mine they had them in stock and had them shipped to me asap OK GNR85 wanyed yto ask u and the guys in here something since its about oil pressure do any of uguys have this aftermarket gauge hooked up? if so can u please help me out on instrictions on hookin it up i tried lookin through the threads but no luck just need some simple ez to do instructions on hookin up this gauge thanx for any input

electronic oil pressure guage, you'll have to get either a brass T with the two proper size holes so you can have your idiot light sender and oil pressure sender (what I did) or one that you can use your oil pressure sender with. You should be able to get the Brass T at autoparts store. Other than that its pretty straight forward stuff, wire to sender S, postive + and negative -, then theirs a postive and negative for the light. Is this what you needed help with?

well kinda i just want to order a oil pressure gauge and get instructions on how to hook it up and wire for best accuracy

I think best accuracy would be a mechanical oil pressure guage, easiest would be a electric, most people use the VDO guages. I ordered both my VDO oil & water temp through postons with the guage holder for the console and it came with the senders. Both the guages had good instructions with them. You will have to use a adapter fitting for the oil and water, but you can get them at almost any local auto parts or hardware store.
