I finally got the GN back together at 3:00 am this morning....
the crossever pipe on the passenger side was the big headache...you have to have skinny long fingers and skinny arms in order to get the damn bolts started.but I finally got them in and tightened down.....I took it out this afternoon after a warm up cruise and went to a less traveled road ..got on it a couple of times, and cruised home..AND.....NO LEAKS!!!!!
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT TACKLED THIS TYPE OF REPAIR, IT WILL GIVE YOU A GREAT DEAL OF SATISFACTION IN DOING IT YOURSELF. IT REALLY ISN'T THAT HARD TO DO.AND BELIEVE IT OR DON'T THERE IS A LOT OF ROOM TO TAKE THINGS OFF WITHOUT ANY SPECIAL TOOLS, ETC.........AUDIOWIZARD (EDDIE) AND HIS SON WOULD DRIVE FROM WICTHITA(SP) FALLS TEX EVERY OTHER WEEKEND TO CHECK ON MY PROGRESS AND OFFER ENCOURAGEMENT.....THANKS EDDIE
WELL, THAT WRAPS IT UP.....IT WAS HARD WORK..(i'M NOT USED TO IT) BUT THE SELF SATISFATION IS WORTH ALL THE SKINNED KNUCKLES AND CURSING I DID TO GET THE SEAL IN...
