Upgrade the stock valve springs?

Is it okay to upgrade the stock valve springs to kirbans lt1 100lb even though i have the stock camshaft. or no?

That's what I did. Picked up 2 mph in the 1/4.

104k miles on stock unopened motor. No wiped lobe yet.

Comp 980's work good w/o the dampner

Comp Cams 979's here with the dampers out and they are fine...50 plus k and she pulls mean up top still.
