upgrading rear wheel studs

with Moser axles, how do you upgrade to 1/2 stud? Isnt the axle flange knurled for the splines on the studs? I need longer studs so they stick out of the open ended lugnuts but didnt see any long enough to do it except the 1/2 ones.

looks like I need to drill the axles and get the screw in type 1/2 studs

they make 12mm long studs that are press in

im running the 2.5 with GTA ,
the stud doesnt have to stick past the open lug but does have to be out past rim face as far as the stud is wide , so thats 1/2" past the rim face
