upshift and reverse problem

have a sudden onset of tranny will shift fine from 1st to 2nd . no slip shift nice and tight into 2nd. but it will not upshift into 3rd it will rev up to 5k and no shift. i can jam the pedal at 5k and still no shift. the other thing is in reverse it feels like it is slipping or not locking in ? not enough pressure in the tranny??

any ideas or help will be appreciated thanks in advance,,, JOHN

sounds like a direct clutch that isnt applying or a broken drive shell.

that does not sound good! i just rebuilt this about a year or so ago or i should say had it done. i used your performance kit chris.

is this a common problem with these cars?? and any other possibilities??
