I have a V6 question maybe more then one. "TexasT" recommended be check with you all on a V6 question. Well heres what I got... I ownen a 1984 Buick Century wagon (please don't laugh) and it has a 3.0 V6 and everybody said this engine is junk but this one will smoke the tires!! I read the 3.0 and the 3.8 were the same block (heads I'm not sure of). If I bought a 84-86 3.8 out of a LeSabre (fuel injected) could I bolt on all the parts from my 3.0 V6? I know the 3.8 uses a flat belt and 3.0 uses a "V" belt and the flywheel on a 3.0 uses a small counter wieght, and the front pulley has no balancer. If I got a 3.8 I would be changing the fuel over from the 3.0 because of MD. Emissions Testing. Has anyone done this?
