v6 turbo on a v8

has anyone put a carb turbo on a v8? here is what i was thinking. my monte had a 3.8 turbo in it i have 3 of these setups. i put a 1/4 inch aluminum plate on a holley spacer marked and drilled for the turbo. i bolted it to a small block on my engine stand. i put all the internals out of the buick hei onto my small block hei. along with the turbo controll. i also drilled out the vacum port on the back of the intake for the knock sender. i turned the passenger side manifold upside down and adapted the turbo to it. do you think this will run???

oh , it will run , but you would have alot of High RPM , becasue the small turbo in comparsion to the larger engine.
