ok i have a dumb question witch is the right way to install the grey and black vac check valve to the to the canister? the grey side to the canister or the black side to the canister.also is that a good place to hookup the boost gauge?

Block the vac line at the intake or use it for your boost gauge
And throw the canister in the trash

ok thanks. but does the black side of the check valve that saids vacuum on it go to the intake or the fuel tank canister.

My vacuum check valves are white/black. The black side faces the source, the white side faces the canister.

ok thanks i said it was a dumb ?cause it does say vacuum on the black side.cause i think i may have a problem with the tank venting or the fuel pump i just replaced the pump that i got from a very nice member here m233roller .so before i put the tank back up i want to do everything i have to back there i tried to blow in the vent line its not easy but i can get air through .is it supposed to be easy like free flowing.

Blow on one side of the check valve. Whichever side allows air to pass through is the side you want towards the motor. The side that does not allow air to pass through is the side toward the canister.

Yes, the vent line should be free flowing. You may have a kink in the line or some sort of obstruction.

And yes, you can tee in a boost gauge wherever there is manifold pressure. Just don't tee in AFTER the check valve.

i tried to blow it through and tried to vacuum it out but still has a restriction it's hard to follow it to see if the metal line is kinked somewhere cause it disappear's up into that metal plate that goes all the way across the back where all 3 lines disappear any ideas?

i want to do it right but if i can't use the stock lines can i just use a long hose in its place ?

The CCP vent line has a restriction in it at the tank (on the sender unit). They tend to gum up from the fuel. Can spray some solvent down the line (from engine compartment end), and then use the shop-vac to push it through.

As for the check valve, it's purpose is to prevent boost from going to the canister. So the end that you can blow through on the valve is the end that gos to the canister. This allows the engine vacuum to purge the canister (in conjunction with the solenoid), and not let boost to enter the canister.
