Vacuum Brake Question

I have completed a vacuum brake conversion on my 87 T. I am now experiencing a soft pedal when and the pedal stays on the floor for a bit.
1. I tied in the to the PVC vacuum line.
2. I have tried to bleed brakes 3 times and have seen no air and no change in pedal feel.
3. The master cylinder was brand new and the booster was out of a junk yard.

4. Is the front bowl of the MC reservoir for the rear brakes?

I have completed a search of the forum and I am suspecting it’s the booster but wanted to get some feedback from the forum.

Does the pedal harden if you pump it a few times with the engine off?

If not, you still have air in there, possibly in the master itself. I'd pull the master back off and bench bleed it again to make double sure it doesn't have air in it. Then reinstall and bleed it again.

When you bleed the front calipers, you may need to unbolt them from the spindle so you can hang them with the bleeder absolutely upright.

Yeah the pedal does harden up. I just pumped the brakes with the car off.

If you can pump them up you have air in the system.

Try adjusting your rear brakes. If they are adjusted properly, should lessen pedal travel.

There's a little pin on the proportioning valve that should be depressed while bleeding.

The factory manual calls it a combination valve. I made the tool out of a piece of angle aluminum 30 years ago!
