I discovered a broken vacuum line going into the unit on top of the driver side valve cover (wastegate solenoid?)??? When I plugged this back in the car has little boost under WOT, like only 6-8 lbs. Could this be faulty? When unplugged I get normal (for my car) boost up to 15-17 lbs.

Also car seems to bog (and knock a bit) when I put the pedal down. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for the help!

Don't put the pedal down...If you can hear the knock, it is BAD!!! Keep doing that and you will learn how to change head gaskets...

Make sure that your vacuum lines are hooked up correctly and that the metered "Y" connection that is hooked to the lines going to and from the turbo/wastegate actuator/wastegate solenoid is hooked up with the metered leg pointing towards the right direction...If you have it wrong, then you will get low boost...

Vacuum/boost question

Thanks, I'll stay off it. I simply just plugged the line back into the spot where the tube had broken off so I guess it's right, however it won't generate any more than 8 lbs of boost:(
