Valve body install question...

How hard of an install is the Art Carr valve body kit (shift improver kit)? Is there any way it be done without removing the trans? How much can I expect to pay if I have it done and will any good/trustworthy mechanic do or do they have to have a good deal of experience with the 200?

Hey Russ. I'm in Natick but go to school in Springfield. You're in the Carver area aren't ya? I aint no tranny expert, but I think its still in relatively good shape. It just doesnt shift quite as firm as it used to on the 1-2 once it warms up and the 2-3 seems kinda sluggish. Im guessing/hoping that those are both due to the fact that the fluid hasn't been changed on 2+ years (10,000mi.). I definitely plan on putting an aux. cooler in soon and was hoping to get a shift kit in too to firm up those shifts. Which kits do you like to use and how much could I expect to pay to have it done?

Actually I have 3 PTS kits in stock. I like how hard they shift, harder the better! I'll call you Monday and get one of yours to try..........
