valve cover breather ?

Why do people replace the oil cap with a breather ? If I have the stock air intake set up I cannot do this unless I plug the hole in the elbow right ? What are the beneffits besides that it looks good ?

You wont suck any oil into the turbo via oil filler. I believe postons sells a nice rubber cap to cap off your tube.
