Hey Zack,No,i love that that car is so stock,if anything i would like to take off the couple little minor mods it has, being bone stock + having 23k miles it will be like driving a new one if i put the single stock muffler back on it,there are plenty of modded ones out there,it's nice to have a bone stocker too.
what i am trying to figure out with the valve cover thing is if a car that i am looking at on the internet has stock heads or not,.
It is suposed to be a super built motor making big hp #'s (600ish),but it has stock intake, fuel rails, throttle body etc.it still even has the original egr on the manifold,+ going by the motor builld receipt it looks like they just did a valve job + port match to the intake on the stock heads/intake.
But the heads do have the valve covers with the 4 bolts in the center, + look like the ones on the aluminum m+a heads in the pic i posted,so i am wondering if they could just be stock heads that maybe have a diff kind of rocker setup or something else that allowed for those type of valve covers to be bolted on.someone i talked to said those valve covers bolt up to a certain type of rocker setup that he thinks can be put on stock heads, but isn't sure.
The person selling the car has very limited knowledge of the car + or buicks.
So my question to the guru's would be can they be stock heads on that car with those type of valve covers ? OR does having those type of valve covers mean it DEFINETLY has M+A heads ???? Also the intake still has the egr + i thought the m+a heads didn't have the egr provisions
Keep in mind the picture posted above is not the actual car, those ARE m+a aluminum heads in the pic.
