How come I can't find Valvoline Type-F at any of the Local Auto Parts Stores?

I have used this trans fluid for many-many years, and now I can't find it anywhere.

Suggestions - Thanks !!!

I do not know the "real" answer, but since it is outdate and no manufacturer has used it for many years, and there are superior products that do a lot better job could be part of the reason?

We did use Type F a few years ago in a few cars, but under extreme conditions, it did not last long, and neither did the trannys.

When Dex VI was introduced, we went with that and never looked back. :)

Type F would last only 2-3 times to the track in a 9 sec. car, and Dex VI will last all season, very cost effective, better trans life and less service time.

No problems finding type F here and almost went with it on my new trans, lonnie said it would shift firmer but would only last about 7000 miles, so I went with his first recommendation instead, DEX VI.

First time using DEX VI and hope it's all everyone says it is, I want this trans to live a long time.
