Does anybody have an opinion on whether a VNT turbo will find its way into the aftermarket? Think about it, a large turbo that spools like a small one. I know someone will say "Yeah, it's called a BB turbo..." But I think it's cool to think about the possiblities...A big flat torque curve!

Todd,

What is up with your car man? Still have it? Back together? For sale?

Yes, like a VNT40 with suitable compressor would be awesome for a hot GN streeter IMO. Esp if you could also include a GTQ exh wheel :)

John the car is not back together but it is for sale, and will be after it gets back together as well. For more coin then of course ;)

So what exactly is a VNT 40, I understand its a varaible but where does this come from & what is its capabilities. Has it been around enough & messed with enough to now what can be done. I know that some of the Ford Turbo powerstroke engines has some kinda variable turbo that I seen a guy try and it run out of steam real quick on the exhaust flow & never made any real HP. But he was unable to control the Varaible part of the turbo & I never knew if he had it in full flow possition or closed up for spool or where it was exactly.

But the whole idea sounds like it has good possibilties if the right pieces where available & could be controled.
