Reinstalling VB after PTS shift kit work. Bruce has answered 2 of my threads and a phone call :) . I was tightening up the bolts, then I notice, oops, there is something hanging. Pardon my description, I don't know the name or function of the parts. A friend has my service manual, but it would say disconnect/ reconnect, I bet  .

There is an S pin hanging from the front drivers side of the VB area, where the shift linkage connects inside the case. It looks to me like I need to take off the VB and reinstall with the pin going into the plunger on the drivers side "worm" channel, sound right?

Once I have this straight in my mind, I can do another one. Some things just fall apart when you take off that VB.

You are correct and YES IT DOES NEED TO BE FIXED!!!!

BT :)

Thanks Bruce, you're three for three with my questions on TB . :) One good thing is I won't repeat this mistake on another one and only about a 15 minute fix. Good thing I noticed that before bolting up the pan.

I'm still glad I am doing this job myself, I have learned a lot. My son is still enjoying the work, he was under the car helping me diagnose the fix. Has his own tools from Xmas. We almost pulled the pan off the T to check against it.

it is much easier at that point to move linkage than remove VB. look at it it is easy. if you need help, call... BT :)

I may just have to call while I am under the car tomorrow after work. I just went out and moved the linkage around and did not discover a way to replace the S pin without removing the VB. Thanks for the advice, I just didn't figure it out
