There is No real estate here in So Cal. I'm in Orange County / Tustin Area and I'm looking for a place to store my car. That way I can do my mods without the parts laying in the street.

Do any of you know where there is a Self-Storage that will permit cars?

There are lots of self storage places around that will accept cars. Whether or not they would be happy with you working on the car on their property is another story?? Check your local yellow pages. Back when I was looking at storing my car I remember getting stupid prices in the $150 and up range per month. Needless to say I found another alternative. Prices like that made me wish I had gotten into the storage business! In fact I still think about it from time to time. Seems like a way to make a crap load of money with little expense/effort.

I hear ya :) The attorneys have proliferated the privately owned business and most will not legally permit any vehicles... even without gas tanks. I did find two RV garages but they are $360/month. They also close at 6:30 PM so it would be difficult to work on it there unless I get to work at 6 AM...

Back when my wife and I lived on Balboa Island, she and I swapped turbos, pulled the interior, painted a rollbar, swapped intercoolers and injectors, etc etc with the car parked on the street. Not fun, but it can be done. What mods are you trying to accomplish?

I spent many Summers on L Street and Miramar...

Anyways, I'm going to fab up a turbo system for the 69 Camaro. I'm on this board because you guys know your stuff :) But, since nothing exists for that year, I'll need to weld and fab the whole thing.

Plus, Long Beach is a bit different than Balboa for safety. I really don't want to leave it out there...
