Does the ECU on a GN log the actual mileage like a newer car? I'm looking at cars and want to verify mileage and original driveline.

Nope

Quick check is always look at the pedal's, if the car is advertised as having 38K but the pedal's look like 138K worth of foot traffic then theres a first indication that something might be going on.

Its not a sure fire way but if someones trying to fudge, the pedals often get over looked and that would be the first thing i would look at as well as other wear inside the interior.

Ball joints on a low mile car should be OEM...unless its from the land of potholes

Just starting points, how much wear should one have on a 38K car versus a 86K mile car?...good question

Look for a black Zip Tie attatched to the speedometer cable:biggrin:
