I have one of those pink converters - it is a single disk lock-up "Vigilante" 6-Pump Stall configuration.
Is it possible this thing could be the source of my trans "rattle"?
When I would put my car in gear, I would hear a rattle almost sounding like a loose inspection cover. I would then put the trans in neutral and it would go away.
This rattle also seemed to go-away if I was to power-brake slightly.
It was certainly annoying. Trans shifts and works "perfectly". I dropped the trans the first thing I noticed after I puller the converter off of the front pump almost was that it was rattling. I shook it, and surely, something's loose in there - maybe the lock-up disk?
I don't think it ever rattled like this before - that I can remember.
Should I invest some more money in this converter - or "SC" it in favor for something else?
Many Thanks !!!
