Ok what gives I just smoked my third vigilante multi disc converter. Every time I stall it up past 10 lbs of boost it tears up. I'm not staying on it long, as soon as the boost gauge reaches 10 plus lbs I either leave or let off! You would think that a converter that costs over $1000.00 would be of better quality than this.:mad:My opinion is this converter is nothing more than a noisy $1000.00 piece of sh_t. BTW every time I talk to Precision, thay don't know why it tore up.

I think that it's tearing up the thurst bearing and burning up the clutches. I don't really understand how it's burning the clutches when I'm not even locking it in at WOT just stalling up on it. I've heard alot of good things about pats converters. I need to do something, I don't know how many more times the wife is going to accept me throwing money away like this especially $1000.00 at a time.

I've had mine over a year and a half with no problems. I can't lie, I hate the noise.

How do you know its tearing it up after you hit 10 psi? do you hear a big noise, or does the car not move after?. The noise is absolutely disgusting I agree!

What it does at first is it stops locking in as firm and I start finding copious amounts of kevlar clutch material in the pan. Then it gets to where when you put the car in gear it doesn't want to stall and goes dead, and eventually the converter just locks up all together.

I had the same problem with mine, just over a year old when it started to whine(like me),i took it out and they did warrant a rebuild of the unit and sent it back to me.I put it back in and stalled it up just one time then blammo.1000 bucks down the drain plus the down time and the labor involved.they offered to check it out againbut by that time I was severely pi==ed off and went to a different vendor.now im faster.

If you don't mind me asking. Which converter did you end up with?

I decided to convert to a th400with a switch pitch converter and i just couldnt afford to rebuild the 200 all over again.the switch pitch is great,as it affords every day driving and it stalls super high with the touch of a switch.serious boost included also with my t-66
