How do I find out the exact specs of my car through the VIN number?

If you are lucky there is a build sheet in the drivers door or behind the back seat.
The SPID label in the trunk if it is still thee will tell you all of the options installed

There's a site you can go to and submit the VIN and receive a build sheet(or other info) for a fee of $50. Search for the link...I can't recall off hand. I'm trying to find the answer to the same question...and other than the 8th letter in the VIN should be a 7(3.8Turbo engine), there is no way to verify it's authenticity or find out the option list with just the VIN.
