Searches didn't help. I'm taking this thing off the car and need to know what to do with brown wire going from alternator to volt booster. I think this is the voltage regulator inside the alternator but where does it go after the the volt blaster is removed? Thanx a bunch!

re:volt booster

Are you talking about the kenne bell volt a boost?
Just curious but why are you removing it?
They create a small lightning storm in your cylinders.....= more power
i still have the directions around somewhere for the kenne bell volt a boost

should be able to reverse engineer from the original install instructions

It is called a "Volt Blaster". It is a white little box with a test button/LED and a gain knob. The consensus is that it affects Alky control's kit accuracy. Some say it does nothing. Please enlighten me. While on the car, it was getting a signal from the TPS sensor. Other wires were power, ground and that brown wire going into the alternator's plug on the side- not the battery wire. I cannot tell who the mfg is on this piece. Thanks! Jr.

Oh, I was looking at the thread title. "volt booster" Which is produced by Caspers electronics. Yours may be made by Kenne Bell...dunno. Do you have pics of the unit? I would think you could use the service manual and see what the stock set-up looks like to put it back stock.

Thanks for posting the instructions!! I'll look for the wiring harness end to the alternator with the brown wires. I'll also go take some pics of the little box. The car came with this thing installed so no instructions. Still need to go take out the direct scan since it doesn't work properly. I'm using ALDL cable and a laptop for now until I get some cash flow for a powerlogger. The car runs stronger already but I am also chasing down a vacuum leak since blm are pegged out at 143 all the time. The car was in storage for a good while and now I know why. A lot of stuff is out of whack. Just set iac and TPS plus got Maf to read 4 cause it was too high as well. So far it has been inexpensive stuff like plugs and wires.

BLM's back to normal. Took DS out, reseated TT chip and disconnected Volt blaster. Car is not running a whole lot better!!
