Walbro 340 getting loud

I bought the car with the pump in it last year, it was whinning, but just noticable. I fired it today and it is considerably louder, sounds like a race car fuel pump. Is it on its way out? I've never had an issue with it and it gives pleny of fuel pressure.

Change it now instead of along side the road.

How much fuel is in the tank??
If close to E or under 1/4 tank, then you maybe about out of fuel. These gauges are not accurate. Low level will allow the pump to make more noise.
Add 6-8 gal and see if it the noise level changes.

If you have 3/4 or more in the tank, then I agree with SFITurbo.
