Wanna go faster!!!

Hey guys. Looking to go faster. See my sig below for what I have and where I am. My thoughts are below, pretty much in this order.

Precision SLIC
RJC 3" DP (probably do these two at the same time)

Timing set, front seal, rear main seal (been putting this off and I need to just do it)

Next I'd probably do a new turbo, WBo2, injectors, and power logger at the same time so as to keep from blowing it up. Any thoughts? Am I even close to the right track?

I realize I can do the PL and WB at the same time as the DP. i just figured i'd save it for later due to the $$ amounts! The SLIC and DP are pretty expensive after all.

I'd consider porting the heads, but I'd prefer to keep from breaking the factory seal until absolutely necessary!

Don't bother with the SLIC until you upgraded the turbo.

Why the 6262? I thinks it's a great turbo with great potential but it may be a bit large unless you plan on a converter.
I'd be affraid that too large of turbo may not give you the bang around town that you may be looking for. I just installed a 5831 and this is a fantastic turbo starting at 4psi and gives the HOLY SH!T feel when boost gets above 25psi and you can still use the stock converter. This has great throttle response and will still make a lot of power up to 30psi on my car.

I'd run 93 and single nozzle alky which you can use from 12's to the deep 10's and not have to replace as you mod the car over the years. You should be able to go 103 mph in the 1/4 on just pump 93 and 17-18 psi boost before alky.

I have fallen in love with E85. I am currently running 22PSI on stock turbo with no alky injection!!! Well, except for the ethanol that's going thru the factory fuel system. Not that I think alky is dangerous or that i'm anti-methanol, I just want to go the way of E85 instead. I've already started down the corn path.

Maybe I SHOULD be able to go 104 with 17-18 PSI and 93, but it wasn't happening for me. The best I could get was 13.6 at 97 and I'm sure my valve springs were holding me back, as well as my tuning ability.

will the SLIC slow me down with the stock turbo? My thinking was that doing the turbo first would cost me more money in a shorter period of time since I would have to upgrade injectors to run bigger turbo, and I would want the WB and PL for monitoring.

Save your money and just port the stock intercooler neck or weld on a Dutt neck. When you pull the heads to at least bowl port them and put in a 210-212 roller cam, then think about a bigger intercooler when you want to run 10's.

Yea, I was hoping to but the tranny developed a 2-3 flare for some reason and I know it wouldn't last a day racing. So I'm planning on something for next year just not sure what.

Stock ICs can go low 11s, spend your money on a turbo, it'll likely cost you less than a Precision SLIC. I like the precision unit myself, but your not going to see a gain with a stock turbo.
For the money you can't beat a duttneck on the stocker.

the direction you are going I dont see a need for injectors........you have 60's which will take you into the 10's no problem.

Right now running straight E85 with the 60's. They're not maxed yet, but with a turbo they will surely be. I plan on upgrading to at least 80's (probably 120's) before ditching the stock turbo.

Running a Racetronix DP system with twin Walbro 255 lph's, but only on one pump right now. Installed it about a month ago and have good 1:1 FP increase with boost. I've not activated the second pump or plugged in the Hobbs switch to it because I don't need the volume yet with the stock compressor. I ordered my DP setup with a Hobbs that activates at 7PSI to be safe!
