Well it’s back on the ground





Everything is tight and “ should be squared up





A note of record





There was a weight savings as the primary goal, however…. In my estimate I thought the box itself would have some wear and a new one would tighten things up some





With the manual box that is not the case





The gear engagement is almost maxed out to achieve about the same or slightly better slop at the steering wheel

I assume removing the power steering pump and reservoir is additional weight savings as well?

Sweet Manufacturing has 600 series power steering boxes available for a 6- 7lb weight savings depending on ratio, but are considerably more $$$$.
