I have an Art Carr 9.5" (approx 3,200-3,500 rpm stall) non-lock-up converter (for a 200-4R transmission) for $450. or OBO...

Claude

WOW!! What a stroke of luck. I just pulled my CPT (California Performance Transmissions aka... The Real Art Carr) P/N 19930 with "N" stall out. Was planning on putting it in the For Sale section next week. I believe I paid $750 for it. Is $500 fair??

P.S. Has about 2000 miles and 15 passes on it. Ran a best of 9.79. No issues when pulled.

Thanks guys but I need 3600-3800.

Well, how high it stalls depends on how much power your engine makes...It did stall around 3,500-3,600 rpm's with good traction and slicks. I ran a best of 10.60's with it...
Anyways, let me know if you change your mind...

Claude.

Let me know what you got.

TIA

forgive my ignorance, but I don't know what a 19930 converter is. I've got an older Art Carr non-lockup in my '87 right now that I'd like to swap out for a lower stall lock-up converter. I've got pictures of it on my office computer that I can post or email if you might be interested in a trade. I don't know the exact vintage or stall, but the diameter appears to be 9 - 10". It works great but it was installed on my GN when I bought it and I have since de-modded the car significantly so now it's really too much converter for my current combination, especially since I usually just dive it on the street. it was originally matched up with a TE45a but I have "down-graded" to a 44. let me know if you're interested in working a trade. the car and converter are in Dallas, Tx.

Thanks,
Rob

ive got a Precision non-lock here that I might want to trade, It ran low 10's in a friends car before he switched to a th400.
