Submarine Life

This isn't new or anything like that.

I'm not sure why I am posting this, but I want to share this story. It is linked onto our favorites here at work.

The only thing I have experienced that is anywhere near this (yet NOWHERE near this) is back when the USS San Fransico hit the underwater mountain and my boat (USS Alaska SSBN 732) was out to sea as well. The Navy announced the collision, but failed to say which boat it was, or what happened to the crew on board. My wife, as well as every other deployed Pacific based Submarine saliors wives, was understandably freaking out.

If you have some free time, poke around the site a bit. Lots of the stuff is funny and the author explains it in a way that civies can understand. (DBFers means 'Diesel Boats Forever')
