Wanting to buy new laptop...Will DirectScan work???

I'm in the market for a new laptop...What do I need to look for in one to be able to run DirectScan on it??? Can this be done???

Any particular brands of laptops that are better than others??? I want one with an AMD processor...Any suggestions???

DS and Windows XP don't play well. They are supposedly incompatible. I don't see why you couldn't have a Dos boot disk... then load DS... or do a dual boot setup.
