I'm looking for something to replace the OEM wastegate actuater clip or keeper. That little clip that holds the actuater arm to the puck lever. So far I have managed to remove & replace mine a few times without losing it, but I need something that is easier to get a hold of. I have a temporary fix in the form of an aligator clip while I'm making adjustments, but I don't want to rely upon this piece full time. What have some of you used? I know its just a matter of time before I drop that clip & lose it.

Thank you

I use an E-Clip, I forget the exact size. I got it at my local hardware store. Its pretty simple to get off, and they are cheap enough to replace if you lose it. I keep about 10-20 on hand lol.

Wow that was a fast reply. Thanks. An "E-Clip" is what its called ? I have a local hardware store that has an extensive fastener selection. I will check with them to see if they have them. I figure about a half a dozen ought to do it. LOL

I think they are also killed a jesus clip? Take a couple out with you and match the size. They usually will let you.

I went to a junkyard & swiped every single retaining clip from throttle cable & kickdown cables I could find off A &G-body cars. I must have 15-20 of them.
Yup.

Didn't know that. I will get some when I go to the J/Y. For now the clips will work.

Use your roach clip. Put a length of fine wire into the end, crimp it w/ a crimping pliers, crimp a loop wire connector to the other end, screw it to the inner fender .

That's more or less what I have going on right now while I'm making adjustments. Just hope that it doesn't fall off.

I'm using these Dorman clips from Advance:

Throttle clips work the best. If you're in a pinch use the one off of the cruise control actuator/vaccum can. Been doing that sense I dropped it at the track at night 24 years ago. On a whim I pulled it off the cruise control and whadda know......it worked and stayed there and it even looks stock.

I have been using a "hairpen clip"

You can find them at any parts house or hardware store......you can remove with your fingers and you can actually find it if you drop it.

"Roach" clip here. Only lost one and that was due to me not putting it back on after adjsting it. Lost that street race to a Mustang to...Thankfully it was a good friend

You "roach" clip guys are cracking me up.

I like my hairpen on mine. IMHO it looks much more at home than a roach clip. You can remove and install the hairpen without needle nose pliers (unlike the Jesus clip).
