Hey guys. its been a while. i have been without a buick for about 5 years now and am finally getting ready to pick one up. Things have changed a lot in this little bit of time. I am already shopping for my go fast goodies and was in process of ordering a downpipe and saw that there are a lot more options for external wastegate pipes now. I ran a THDP on my old car and was going to go that direction again but it seems the more i read, external is the way to go. I am starting out with a stock car and once i get the spring cleaning done on it, i want to start building a recipe car. Probably an 11 sec. but i am trying to look ahead and buy parts that will work for me now as well as in the future when i upgrade to a bigger turbo and FMIC. This will be a purely street driven car mainly because the nearest drag strip to me is about 3 hours away but i do plan on taking it on strip trips once i feel its getting into the 11's. any help you could give me on making this decision would be greatly appreciated. And although this is not in the right forum, i would like some help on a scantool as well. I have used the scanmaster in the past and love it but i see a lot of talk about the powerlogger and how you can hook it up inline with the scanmaster which i did not know. so any help there would also be appreciated.
Thanks!

The waste gate question is in the right place but you might want to post the rest of it in the general section. You've got a lot of catching up to do for sure. First thing is decide how you want to do it though. I'm trying to build a carb/turbo and I've already decided to go external myself. The reason is because of adjustability and control of boost. A controller will be used as well to make sure it doesn't over boost and die a nasty death. Some of the other guys will chime in in the morning no doubt, so post the rest of this in the general section.
