Wastegate Hole size

How big do you think I should port my wastegate hole to for my new PTE-54? The hole is 15/16-inch now and the puck is 1-9/32 inch. I was figuring 1-1/8 inch. Hole is the same size as my PTE-51 and it had boost creep so I figure I have to go bigger.

Areawise the numbers are:

15/16" 0.6903 sqin.
1-1/8" 0.9940 sqin.
1-9/32" 1.2893 sqin.

Any thoughts?

1 & 1/8" should work well for that turbo,but I would get a bigger puck[be sure to flare the inside of the wastegate hole in the turbine housing,both ways].You're looking at 1/64" inch to seal the hole on any side and that ain't much.

I think I will have a little more than a 1/16th all around.

1-9/32-1-1/8=0.1563 divided by 2=0.0781 > 0.0625. Is this enough.

Oops,you're right[been a long day at the shop].You should be okay,just be careful.You got an imprint of the puck on the housing yet?
