Wastegate install

I just ordered an adjustable wastegate. Can someone please give me tips on installing the wastegate and getting my boost to 20 pounds. I have never done this before so I dont know where to start. Thanks. (Oh and I am running e85 now so I think Im safe to run 19-20 pounds.

oh and by the way I have an rjc downpipe and the turbo is setup right now as it came from the factory.

It is a direct replacement, just make 1 complete turn past the "closed" location on the puck arm. A boost controller, manual or electronic, would be of help for adjusting the boost more accurately than tightening of the w/g arm.

Wastegate was simple to install but how do I illiminate the factory wastegate solenoid??

Are you running an after-market chip or stock? I don't remember if you get a code by disconnecting it w/the stock chip? I ran the tt chip, which in my opinion is one of the best. And Eric can eliminate the code in the new chip. Connect the manual boost controller there to the w/g line and adjust for the boost you want w/o knock.

I am running a tt chip but just ordered a new one from eric last week to run e85

You should be good to go, just remember to start on low boost and work your way up, tuning for "0" knock. Also don't forget to wire-tie all your hoses so they don't separate under higher boost. You can wire-tie the w/g solenoid wire to the harness out of the way.

Sorry to bring this thread back to life, but can someone tell me or show me how to connect the turbonetics boost controller to the stock wastegate solenoid? In what order are they supposed to be connected to the vacuum hosing going to the turbo? I am still using the stock chip.
