i hooked my RJC boost controller up per Tial's instructions and i have 30+ lbs of boost...as much as i liked it i know i can't handle that right now. i have an external Tial 44mm wastegate..straight off the gate i have 20 psi but if i hook the RJC up i have 30+....i was told to hook the RJC in between the bottom port of the Tial and to the other side to the compressor of the turbo. this will leave the top port of the wastegate open...makes sense but that is not what the instructions say do...how do you people with external wastegates have these hooked up....................thanks Bob

How many springs do you have inside the gate? I have mine hooked up with a turbonetics BC and i'm around 20psi. I think you might need to take a spring out.

good idea

i have 2 springs that come out to be 14.5lbs...don't remember what color they are but the car will make 20lbs on the wastegate alone. i like the 20lbs but just want to be able to turn it up and couple of pounds.
i thought about taking a spring out but i asked one of my ricer buddys how he had his hooked up. i ended up hooking it up in between the turbo and lower port on the wastegate and left the top port open. i have around 21 to 22lbs right now...just where i want to be right now but i may end up taking one out so i can get the boost down to drive on the street..getting sideways at 75mph is fun though:) thanks Bob

I took my smaller spring out. I've hit as high as 26psi with more to go, and is set now at 20ish with still room to decrease psi with the boost controller. Tip-if you take a spring out put it in a press so it doesnt fly apart or strip any screws.

Yes i took it apart one time:) . i bought it used and the other guy put two longer screws in it so it makes it a little easier. it will be in a vice the next time...i had to push it down real hard while my wife put the screws back in....i was like hurry up i'm getting tired:biggrin: .....i will probably end up taking a spring out but i am going to the track tomorrow so i am going to leave it alone for right now...got a good tune on it........thanks Bob
