Im not around home to test my electronic wastegate solenoid from my car, so i was wondering if it is either completely open or completely closed, or is it a variable open/closed style valve, i was going to re-use it in a vacume bleed off style boost controller for my car, so i could use it in conjunction with a dial resistor to control how much boost i want then turn off the switch with the power going to it, and have it go closed again, to so it will then go back to the (stock) boost amount i have set with my adjustable rod for just town driving and cruizing.

Thanks, Dan

It's pulse width modulated by the computer so it's variable. Whether it's open or closed with no voltage, I have no idea. Going by memory, the higher the DC, the higher the boost so I would have to GUESS it's closed with no voltage but that could be wrong.

You are in fact correct. (That even rhymes)

So does the comp. send out the voltage in pulses or can i just use some sort of resistor switch like i had hoped to be able to use.
